After launching Virtuoso Resumes in 2007, I built a boutique resume writing and career branding firm known for white-glove service, career strategy, and resumes that actually work in the real hiring market. Before founding Virtuoso, I spent nearly a decade in workforce development, running job centers, teaching job search and interviewing skills, and helping thousands of people move from unemployed to unstoppable. That experience still shapes how I work today – asking better questions, listening for the real story, and translating it into resumes, LinkedIn profile writing, and career narratives that resonate with hiring leaders.

I founded the “Yes, I work from home” podcast in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and discovered my love for drawing information out of my guests. Joining this skill with my background as an English Teacher, I turned my passion into a product that helps people realize their dreams.

In terms of my background, I am self-made and have deep roots in the startup community. I also served in the US Navy as a Search and Rescue (SAR Swimmer). My professional experience crosses high-tech, telecom, construction, business services, retail, finance, SaaS, corporate training, and project management – and as a career services professional and recruiter, I have the “art” of behavioral interviewing down to a science.
