Quarantine day number 9,564. Between you and me, I’m really trying to do my best to get used to our new reality. No matter which side of the mask debate you sit on, there are a few things related to work that I think we just need to get used to.
First, it turns out that working from home is a lot more “doable” than most companies thought. We are definitely going to see a huge evolution in how and where we work when this whole COVID thing is over.
Second, we need to really consider boundaries. Employers need to understand that staff still need a lunch break. Work hours should be finite. And just because our commute is only about 20 ft does not mean that we are working any less hard than before.
Third, we need to get used to talking by video. Zoom and WebEx are not going away when COVID dies down.
